The school is starting a
Unified Bowling team from Lester Prairie this fall. Unified sports takes
students who are in special education and pairs them with students in their
mainstream class to form a sports team. The goal is to help for peer
relationships, defeat intolerance and build confidence for everyone.
Special Olympics of MN
pays for the program. There will be two practices after school and then
have a competition during school hours with several schools from around the
state.
Everything is free of
charge thanks to Special Olympics of Minnesota.
Practices will be held
Tuesdays: October 13th and 20th.
The Unified Bowling
Invitational is Wednesday, October 28th.
